MedaBody Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how bernsoftware (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in MedaBody: AI Muscle Editor (the “App”) for iOS. It replaces our general Apps Privacy Policy for this App.
1. Summary
- No account required. You can use the App without signing up or giving us your name.
- Your photo is used only to create your result. It is sent to our server and an AI provider to generate the edited image and is not kept by us afterwards. Your history stays on your device.
- Ads and ad measurement. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK so we can see which of our ads bring people to the App. The advertising identifier is only shared if you allow tracking when iOS asks.
- We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your photos to train AI models.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Photos you choose
When you create a transformation, the photo you take or pick, together with the muscle groups you select, is sent to our server and from there over an encrypted connection to an AI image provider (Replicate, running Google’s image model) to generate the edited image. We do not keep the photo or the result on our servers after the result is returned. The original and the result are saved in the App on your device so you can see your history, and you can delete them there at any time.
2.2 Profile answers
The goal, gender, age range and fitness level you choose during setup are stored only on your device to tailor the App. They are not sent to us.
2.3 Camera and photo library
iOS asks for your permission before the App can use the camera or your photo library. We only access the photo you select, and we save to your library only when you tap Save.
2.4 Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple; we never see your card details. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which receives your purchase and subscription status together with a random App user ID (not your name or email) so the App can unlock Pro features.
2.5 Advertising
If you use the free version, the App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device information and, if you allow tracking, the device advertising identifier (IDFA) to show and measure ads. Pro subscribers do not see ads.
2.6 Advertising measurement
The App uses the Meta SDK(Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure our own advertising. It records app events such as installs, app opens, trial starts and purchases, linked to a Meta anonymous ID. RevenueCat may also send trial and purchase events to Meta for the same purpose. If you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, the IDFA is also shared, which lets Meta match these events to the ads you saw. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the IDFA is not shared. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
2.7 Diagnostics
We may receive crash reports and aggregate diagnostics to keep the App working.
3. How AI Features Work
Results are generated by artificial intelligence and show an imagined version of your photo. They are for fun and motivation, are not a prediction of how your body will change, and are not medical, fitness or nutrition advice.
4. Third Parties
- Apple: App distribution, in-app purchases and the tracking permission prompt.
- Replicate: AI image generation for your results.
- RevenueCat: subscription status and purchase events.
- Google AdMob: ads in the free version, as described in section 2.5. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Meta Platforms: advertising measurement as described in section 2.6. Meta’s own Privacy Policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
5. Data Retention
Photos sent for processing are not stored on our servers after your result is delivered. Results and profile answers stay on your device until you delete them or the App. Subscription records are kept by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to provide the subscription and meet legal obligations. Advertising data is kept by Google and Meta under their own policies.
6. International Transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Please only upload photos of yourself, or of adults who agreed to it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Connections to Apple, RevenueCat, our AI provider and the advertising SDKs use HTTPS/TLS. We do not keep your photos on our server after the result is delivered.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, KVKK or similar laws, such as access, correction, deletion and objection. You can withdraw consent to tracking at any time in iOS Settings. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
